Oh my today was quite the day. I met Austin, who is my very nice guide of a sort. He is one of my cousin's (Jill's) favorite students and speaks amazing English. He was such a sweetie. We met in the morning around 10 am and chatted for quite some time. Then he was nice enough to clean some of my kitchen with me, which for those of you who watched the video on my apartment was a very generous thing to do. He also told me how to get the water to turn on!!!!!
After that I desperately needed to get a phone and he helped me so much with that as well. We got the easiest/simplest phone possible and a decent plan to go with it. We also got lunch, which was a sort of pick our own ingredients soup. It was so tasty. I was supposed to possibly meet with the other teachers today so I told Austin that we should go back just in case they had emailed me. They didn't and I eventually got a text from David after I gave him my new number that we were not meeting today after all.
Then I asked Austin what he was doing and he said nothing so we went down to the beach, went to an interesting and beautiful park that was all sculptures.
