Built in 20th century Norman architecture
History:
This is the amazing and dream-like Shroyer Estate (at least that is what I'm calling it) The Estate currently called Greengable Gardens was my great grandparents, The Shroyer's, home. As a child I ran through the acres of gardens with their winding paths, waterfalls, canals, river, bridges, and gazebo. It is my dream to bring it back into the family.
When my great grandparents died, my great grandfather in 1999 and then my great grandmother in 2001, the house was left to one of their children who was forced to sell the amazing property due to its expansive costs. The property changed hands to the Balints who are bulb farmers. While the farming land of the property is being wonderfully used again, the gardens are suffering.
The Dream:
I want to reclaim the property and turn it into an events venue. There are several areas of the Garden that would be perfect for outdoor weddings, both large and small. I would also like to have a restaurant and a bed a breakfast. I've played with an idea I call the wedding village as well as other options. All of this of course would be done over a decade or more, if during my life time at all.
My goals with the property are firstly to get it back into the family. Then, make it affordable, which is why I am planning on it being a venue. Ideally it would be a resource for the surrounding community, OSU, the people of Philomath, and potentially WOOFers. I would also like to make an example of smart energy/resource planning when possible and an educational resource.

Main floor plan
I would like to make some changes to the house if possible. I'm hoping to remove the walls that connect the kitchen to the dining room and also the dining room to the living room and make it an open concept house. If possible (but not as important I would also like to remove the stairwell in the middle of the house as to open up more space in the living room because it is actually quite cramped.
